{"id":389649,"date":"2019-02-07T21:56:17","date_gmt":"2019-02-07T20:56:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/phileo-lesaffre.com\/?p=389649"},"modified":"2022-02-17T17:47:17","modified_gmt":"2022-02-17T16:47:17","slug":"phileo-launches-new-generation-multi-species-bacteria-probiotic-in-poultry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/phileo-lesaffre.com\/en\/phileo-launches-new-generation-multi-species-bacteria-probiotic-in-poultry\/","title":{"rendered":"Phileo by Lesaffre launches new generation multi-species bacteria probiotic in poultry"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row css_animation=&#8221;&#8221; row_type=&#8221;row&#8221; use_row_as_full_screen_section=&#8221;no&#8221; type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; angled_section=&#8221;no&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; background_image_as_pattern=&#8221;without_pattern&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]Microsaf<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, a multi-species bacteria probiotic, will be officially launched by Phileo by Lesaffre in Atlanta (Feb 12-15, 2019) during IPPE 2019, giving poultry professionals an exciting new route to improved feed efficiency, gut health and growth performance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcq-en-Baroeul, France\u00a0<\/strong>(February 7, 2019).<\/p>\n<p>The new probiotic is based on a unique combination of three proprietary strains from 3 <em>Bacillus <\/em>species, carefully chosen to produce improvements in feed efficiency, alongside their potential to inhibit major poultry pathogens, including <em>Clostridium perfringens<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the results of a battery of pre-launch trials, carried out in North America and Europe, Microsaf<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is capable of delivering increased levels of feed intake, improved FCR, higher daily growth rates and better all-round growth performance.<\/p>\n<p>Compared in trials with two other <em>Bacillus<\/em>-based products, Microsaf<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> achieved significantly higher levels of feed intake, significantly improved FCR and the best return on investment (ROI).<\/p>\n<p>The performance of Microsaf<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is also enhanced by the exclusive 3-patent Germination Optimization Technology (GO Technology<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>), a new process designed to promote faster and stronger <em>Bacillus<\/em>spore germination. This maximizes the product\u2019s impact within the short transit time of 4-5 hours, which applies to most chickens.<\/p>\n<p>Comparing <em>Bacillus<\/em>spores primed by GO Technology<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> to ones which are not primed, in fact, showed that the GO Technology\u00ae innovation successfully accelerated and synchronized the germination of the three Microsaf<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> strains.
